2019 WE United Year End Award Winner Mia Rollins and her horse “Triple Royal Tee”

Youth rider Mia Rollins and her Quarter horse “Triple Royal Tee” or “Khan”, did exceptionally well competing in Working Equitation in 2019!

At the National level, they won: #6 horse and rider, #6 horse, #7 American rider, and #3 Junior Rider. At the Regional level, they won #5 Horse and Rider. And for Breed High Point Khan won top honors #1 Quarter Horse, what a fantastic accomplishment for this pair!

Mia says she has had Khan for about a year and a half now. She says her trainer Laura Stutesman should take the credit for introducing them to WE, and that WE was the first thing that she and Khan were really passionate about.

Mia says Khan was a pickup horse at the Angola Rodeo for most of his life, and then he had been used as a trail horse for a year before she bought him. She states he had no formal training to speak of, so she and her trainer were delighted when he took to dressage quite nicely. “The dressage portion of WE is now something we enjoy very much along with Ease of Handling, we truly enjoy working with the obstacles. Although dressage can be a challenge, as neither of us had any experience prior to Working Equitation, we have progressed a lot over the past year and love working our dressage patterns. Khan has been an incredibly patient and willing mount through all of our adventures!”

Congratulations to 2019 WE United Year End Award Winner, Jr. Rider Mia Rollins and her Quarter horse Triple Royal Tee! We look forward to your continued success in 2020, and the years to come.
