Hats off to Kelly DeGeorge and Mousse on the Loose!

Colorado member Kelly DeGeorge and her Morgan/Quarter Horse mare Mousse on the Loose, ended the 2017 competition season tied for 9th place in Region 3 end-of-year standings out of all Introductory-level competitors.

Kelly says she has owned Mousse for almost four years and describes her as “a beautiful¬†chestnut with a heart of gold.” The two enjoy trail riding, participating in parades, jumping, and dressage, in addition to Working Equitation.

Kelly started participating in Working Equitation thanks to the good influence of fellow member Jo Bottorff. When asked what she enjoys about the sport, Kelly remarks, “It challenges you every time you do it.”

She says a number of people have helped her on her journey in WE. “Jo Bottorff, Lauren Gueswel, Angie Zabritski, and Allison Mazurkiewicz¬†introduced me to WE, and then I got further encouragement from Chris Stanko and Kitty Mclaughlin to compete and believe in myself.”

We’re glad you’re involved, Kelly!
