WE United Secretary, Bruce W. Menke, brings great attention to detail and a wealth of knowledge related to parliamentary procedure to his role on the Board of Directors. An avid supporter of the sport, Bruce has been actively involved in Working Equitation for nearly a decade now.
A member of the WE United Show Licensing and Oversight Committee and a licensed Technical Delegate, Bruce has officiated at WE competitions in his home state of Texas as well as Nevada, Utah, and Oregon. In 2017, he taught the Technical Delegate seminar for WE United, helping to bring four fully-licensed TDs and three Learner TDs to the sport.
Bruce has also been a major contributor to the development of the various iterations of Working Equitation rules in the United States, and was one of two WE United representatives to volunteer their time on the committee that put together the combined United States Rules for Working Equitation, published in January of 2017.
Bruce has previously competed successfully at the novice level on his home-bred Lusitano cross gelding, Otimo HV (barn name Major) and hopes to return to the competition arena more often in the future on Major and perhaps some younger prospects he and his wife Pam have raised.
Thank you, Bruce, for your years of service!
