High Country Working Equitation once again worked with the Rocky Mountain Horse Expo in Denver, Colorado, to offer a B-Rated Competition in conjunction with their annual big equine event.
With 26 competitors, this year’s competition was more successful than ever!
A number of WE United members earned scores toward their Lifetime Rider Medals. Congratulations to Nebraska’s Jo Teter, whose 69.77% in Dressage and 76.94% in Ease of Handling not only brought her a quarter of the way to earning her Bronze Medal and clinched the victory in the Novice A Amateur class but also qualified her and the beautiful mule Teters Dazzle for the WE United National Championship Competition September 1-4, 2017! With eight entries, this was the largest class of the show.
Silja Knoll, riding Ruby, earned her first Bronze Medal qualifying score with a 62.73% in Dressage while Barbara Harris, on the Morgan Fortunate Destiny secured two of the required 8 scores to earn her Bronze Medal. In doing so, the two competitors not only won 2nd and 3rd place, respectively, in the Novice A Amateur class, but both also qualified for the WE United National Championship.
Lyndsey Fitch and Dun it High Hickory qualified for the National Championship at the Novice B level, with scores of 63.08% in dressage and 63.01 in Ease of Handling.
