Twenty riders braved unseasonably hot weather to compete at the August 13-14, 2016 WE United B-Rated competition hosted by South Ridge Farms in Ridgefield, Washington.
The two-day show was judged by Barbara Price, r, from Valley Center, California.
Donna Louma and her Half-Andalusian mare Three Days Late finished 2nd in Dressage and 1st in Ease of Handling to secure the 1st place win overall in an Introductory class of seven. This win helped secure their position at the top of the National Leaderboard for the Introductory Level.
Amateur owner Jill Lovelace and her Quarter Horse Drifting Juniper came in 3rd in Dressage, 2nd in Ease of Handling, and 1st in Speed to secure the overall win in the eight-horse Novice Open class.
The five-horse Intermediate Open class was won by Morgan Wagner and Endo the Blind, with a 1st place finish in Dressage, a three-way tie for 1st in Ease of Handling, and a 3rd place finish in Speed.
This show was the final one in a three-competition series hosted by South Ridge Farms, a facility that is quickly becoming known for quality working equitation events.
