Show Report: Creek Hollow Ranch, Memorial Day Weekend, I

The beautiful Creek Hollow Ranch in the Ramona, California foothills hosted two separate B-Rated working equitation shows over the 2018 Memorial Day Weekend. Both shows were judged by Rebecca Algar, R, Texas.

Sarah Pinney rode three horses in the eight-entry Introductory Open class, riding away with a 1st-place finish overall with Mil Amores RDL (Dressage score of 64.80%, Ease of Handling score of 72.50%) and a 2nd-place finish overall with Eliska (Dressage score of 78.40%, Ease of Handling score of 55.63%). Jeff Ohaco and El Campeón’s Monterey finished 4th in Dressage (60.80%) and 3rd in Ease of Handling (55.63%) to take home the 3rd-place overall honors.

Amanda Pelloth and Umada TCF swept the four-entry Introductory Amateur class with 1st-place finishes in both Dressage (59%) and Ease of Handling (59.38%) to take home 1st-place overall.  Alice Owens and Tempranillo XIII came in 4th in Dressage (47.20%) and 2nd in Ease of Handling (50%) to win 2nd place overall. Amanda Pelloth rode Sheza Ritzy Chic to a 3rd place overall finish.

Bryan Ludens and Lark of Honor Bright came in 1st in Dressage (66.96%) and 2nd in Ease of Handling (59.44%), and 1st in Speed (2:36.95) to take home the top honors in the two-entry Novice A Open class. Nicole Chastain Price and Paso Doble WAE came in 2nd in Dressage (62.17%), 1st in Ease of Handling (62.78%), and 2nd in Speed (3:03.83), to bring home 2nd-place overall.

Darlene Arledge and Stylin Twist came in 2nd in Dressage (52.61%), 3rd in Ease of Handling (46.11%) and 1st in Speed (4:12.49) to win top honors in the three-entry Novice A Amateur class. Val Pearson and FS Tesoro Nobel came in 1st in both Dressage (61.74%) and Ease of Handling (56.11%), but disqualified in Speed, to finish 2nd place overall. Tammie DiMarzo and Quelow Poco finished 3rd in Dressage (46.52%), 2nd in Ease of Handling (54.44%), and also disqualified in Speed, for an overall 3rd place at the Saturday event.

Robin Bond rode Kiger Dios Estoy Aquí to a 1st place finish in Dressage (66.11%) and Speed (4:28.15), while disqualifying in Ease of Handling, to take home the top honors in the one-entry Intermediate A Open class.
