Rach Riding Academy in Milford, Michigan hosted a weekend of working equitation competitions judged by Erica Peet, r, Illinois, June 15 and 16, 2019. The events, which drew participants from across Region 5, included 19 horse/rider pairs on Saturday and 20 on Sunday.

Sandy Klinkey and her Spotted Saddle Horse Coco Babe came in 1st in Dressage and 2nd in Ease of Handling to win the six-entry Introductory class. Junior riders Katie Guscar, riding Gospel Lyrics and Liaden Siegel, riding Gidget, came In 2nd and 3rd, respectively. Kathie Jones piloted Corvetto CDF to a 4th place finish overall while Nathan Yeskie, participating in his first Working Equitation competition, came in 5th on Destiny. Erin Kott and Vera Bradley finished in 6thplace.
Christiana Palmer and Zorro placed 2nd in Dressage, and 1st in both Ease of Handling and Speed to win 1st place overall in the six-entry Novice A Amateur class. Christine Righeimer and Whisper placed 5th in Dressage, and 2nd in Ease of Handling and Speed to win 2nd place overall. Natalie Larkin rode Stryder to a 3rd place finish overall, while James Clink and JL Raazberry Royale finished 4th and Finley Siegel and Miss September HOS came in 5th. Brynn Diehl and Cody placed 6thoverall.
Karen Rach-St. Clair and My Music Maker MHF swept the two-entry Novice A open class, while Dorothy Mueller and Corvetto CDF placed 2ndo verall.
Junior riders Aida Jamie on Drifter, Brynn Diehl on Quicksilver Rhyme and Reason, and Finley Siegel on Scout battled it out in the Novice B Amateur class, finishing in that order overall.
Alex Tyson and Check My Loaded Gun took 1st place overall in the Novice B Open class, with Karen Rach-St. Clair and Salina coming in 2nd.
