Rach Riding Academy in Milford, Michigan hosted a weekend of working equitation competitions judged by Erica Peet, r, Illinois, June 15 and 16, 2019. The events, which drew participants from across Region 5, included 19 horse/rider pairs on Saturday and 20 on Sunday.

Junior rider Katie Guscar and Gospel Lyrics swept the six-entry Introductory Open class to clinch the Overall Champion Introductory Level title, with Sandy Klinkey and Coco Babe coming in a strong second in every trial as well as overall. Junior rider Nathan Yeskie and Destiny came in 3rd overall, while junior rider Liaden Siegel and Gidget placed 4th. Erin Kott and Vera Bradley came in 5th, and Kathie Jones rode Corvetto CDF to a 6th-place finish overall.
Christine Righeimer and Whisper placed 1st in Dressage and Ease of Handling and 5th in Speed to win the Novice A Amateur champion title. James Clink rode JL Raazberry Royale to a 2nd place overall, while junior riders Brynn Diehl on Cody and Finley Siegel on Miss September HOS finished 3rd and 4th, respectively. Natalie Larkin and Strider finished in 5th place overall. Christiana Palmer and Zorro came in 6th, and Janet Lair and Oakley finished 7th.
Karen Rach St.Clair rode My Music Maker MHF to a 1st place win overall in the Novice A Open class, with Dorothy Mueller and Corvetto CDF hot on their heels.
Aida Jamie and Drifter won the three-entry Novice B Amateur class, while Brynn Diehl and Quicksilver Rhyme and Reason came in 2nd, and Finley Siegel and Scout came in 3rd.
Alex Tyson and Chex My Loaded Gun swept the two-entry Novice B Open class, while Karen Rach-St. Clair and Salina placed 2ndoverall.
