Show Report: Oklahoma April 2017 Competition

Six brave competitors quite literally “weathered the storms” to test their Working Equitation skills at the first licensed competition of the 2017 season hosted by Working Equitation Oklahoma on April 29, 2017.  Although about twice as many people had originally signed up to participate, the gale-force winds, severe lightning, and hail kept many away.

Linda Frazier and her Quarter Horse mare Rosie’s Chex Lady MC earned their gold star for the day as the only horse/rider pair to successfully complete all three trials, in the process taking home first place in the Intermediate A Open class.

Dorothy Forman, riding Jet, won the three-entry Novice A Open class, while Cindy Branham and Tucker the Mustang tried their hand as the sole entry at Intermediate B.
