Show Report: Pepperglen Farm, Nov. 3, 2018

Twenty-three horse/rider pairs competed at the November 3, 2018 WE United licensed competition hosted by Pepperglen Farm in Norco, California. This one-day show was judged by Susan Watkins, r, California, and managed by Lori Fairchild.

Introductory Level Results
Shawnee Armstrong rode her grade Mustang Greyjoy to a 1st place finish overall in the eight-entry Introductory Amateur class, coming in 1st in Dressage (65.60%) and 2nd in Ease of Handling (64.69%). Gina LaRock and her BLM Mustang Mingo took 2nd in Dressage (62.40%) and 3rd in Ease of Handling (64.06%) to come in 2nd place overall. Youth rider Kayie Cox and her Friesian Sille van de Veenhoeve won 3rd place overall, finishing 8th in Dressage (58%) and 1st in Ease of Handling (65.94%). Jackie Leopard rode her grade horse Lucy to a 4th place finish overall, coming in 5th in Dressage (59.60%) and 4th in Ease of Handling (60%). Andrea Sullivan rode her Iberian cross Ce’u do Fino to a 5th place finish overall, coming in 3rd in Dressage (62.2%) and 7th in Ease of Handling (58.44%).

In the six-entry Introductory Open class, Jesseca Hutchings and Quarter Horse Peptolenas Bob came in 1st in Dressage (66%) and 2nd in Ease of Handling (63.43%) to finish 1st place overall. Abigail Followill on El Campeon’s Donatello placed 4th in Dressage (62.60%) and 1st in Ease of Handling (64.69%) to take 2nd place overall honors. Lisa Scebbi and Friesian Heritage Horse Zillertal Atom placed 3rd in both Dressage (64%) and Ease of Handling (63.44%) to win 3rd place overall. Jen Lyon rode DJR Clover to a 4th place finish overall, placing 2nd in Dressage (64%) and 4th in Ease of Handling (62.81%). Jeff Ohaco rode El Campeon’s Monterey into 5th place overall, finishing 6th in Dressage (57.40%) and 5th in Ease of Handling (61.25%).

Novice A Level Results
In the four-entry Novice A class, Sue Grant and grade horse Carol’s Legacy came in 1st in Dressage (63.695%) and Ease of Handling (66.32%) and 3rd in Speed (4:04.7) to finish 1st place overall. Bryan Ludens on Friesian stallion Lark of Honor Bright placed 4th in Dressage (56.74%), 2nd in Ease of Handling (62.63%), and 1st in Speed (2:37.4) to take 2nd place overall honors. Andrea Lora and her Arabian Zarah placed 2nd in Dressage (61.74%), 3rd in Ease of Handling (60.79%), and 2nd in Speed (3:59.6) to win 3rd place overall. Barbara Lawson rode her Lusitano Dom do Nico to a 4th place finish overall, placing 3rd in Dressage (61.54%), 4th in Ease of Handling (60%), and 4th in Speed (4:37.6).
Intermediate A Level Results
In the three-entry Intermediate A class, Polly Limond and grade horse Flying Tiger came in 1st in Dressage (65.97%) and Ease of Handling (67.89%) and 2nd in Speed (3:07.7) to finish 1st place overall. Bob Lawson and his Quarter Horse  Rips Rey Jay placed 2nd in Dressage (56.81%) and Ease of Handling (63.15%), and 1st in Speed (3:03.8) to take 2nd place overall honors. Bill Deeney rode Harlow CR, a Lusitano owned by Nadine Tilley, to a 3rd place finish overall.
Intermediate B Level Results
In the two-entry Intermediate B class, Cassandra Adams and Dutch Horse Friends Arjen came in 1st in Ease of Handling (73.42%) and Speed (2:47.8) to finish 1st place overall. Bill Deeney andLusitano Cereja placed 2nd in Ease of Handling (62.63%), and Speed (3:11.6) to take 2nd place overall honors.
