Becky Mathews, of River Run Equine Events, hosted two back-to-back one-day B-Rated Shows at Donida Farm in Auburn, Washington, April 21 and 22, 2018. Both shows were judged by Wayne Hipsley, S, Kentucky. This show report covers Saturday’s competition.
Patsy Bingham and Lakota swept the four-entry Introductory class with a 59% in Dressage and a 71.30% in Ease of Handling. Kelly Munro and Annabella placed 2nd in Dressage (56.8%) and 3rd in Ease of Handling (59.70%) to place 2nd overall.
Deirdra Dong and Nth Degree Hallmark placed 1st in all three trials, handily capturing the Overall win in the five-entry Novice A class, with scores of 68% in Dressage, 70% in Ease of Handling, and a time of 3:01 in Speed. Right behind them was Denise Lukins and Mahon II FLH, with 2nd-place finishes in all three trials and scores of 58.3% in Dressage, 68.10% in Ease of Handling and a time of 3:21.5 in Speed.
Meanwhile, Becky Mathews and Pippin captured the overall win in the two-entry Intermediate A class, with scores of 63.2% in Dressage, 79.2% in Ease of Handling, and a time of 3:37.5 in Speed, with Cheryl Rife and Nova turning in very respectable performances, earning scores of 57.6% in Dressage, 61.7% in Ease of Handling, and a Speed time of 4:50.2.
