Becky Mathews, of River Run Equine Events, hosted two back-to-back one-day B-Rated Shows at Donida Farm in Auburn, Washington, April 21 and 22, 2018. Both shows were judged by Wayne Hipsley, S, Kentucky. This show report covers Sunday’s competition.
Kelly Munro and OFI Jostina won the three-entry Introductory class with a 57.8% in Dressage and a 69.1% in Ease of Handling. Kimberly Roe and Drifting Dun Chex placed 1st in Dressage (61.2%) and 3rd in Ease of Handling (61.3%) to place 2nd overall.
Denise Lukins and Mahon II FLY placed 1st in Dressage (63%), 2nd in Ease of Handling (68.9%), and 1st in Speed (3:48.2) to win the three-entry Novice A class. Stacy Day and Holliday placed 3rd in Dressage (62%), 1st in Ease of Handling (69.2%) and 2nd in Speed (4:19.3) to finish 2nd overall.
Deirdra Dong and Nth Degree Hallmark moved up from their prior day’s entry at Novice A to perform well in their one-entry Novice B class, earning a Dressage score of 67.4%, an Ease of Handling score of 71.4%, and a Speed time of 4:15.5.
Meanwhile, Becky Mathews and Pippin once again captured the overall win in the two-entry Intermediate A class, with scores of 69.3% in Dressage, 77.2% in Ease of Handling, and a time of 4:47.5 in Speed, with Cheryl Rife and Nova earned scores of 62.5% in Dressage and 58.6% in Ease of Handling before scratching their Speed round.
Deirdra Dong, Stacy Day, Cassie Torhorst, and Denise Lukins all earned qualifying scores toward their Bronze Lifetime Rider Medals, while Becky Mathews earned two more scores toward her Silver Lifetime Rider Medal.
