Posted on Posted in News, Show Report

The Texas Rose Horse Park in Tyler, Texas, once again included a licensed Working Equitation competition in the divisions offered at their Summer Breed Show event, drawing five competitors for the Sunday classes. Michael Vermaas, “S” Judge, Texas, officiated over the competition.

Leah Norstrud and Fiona finished first in both Dressage and Ease of Handling to win first place overall in the two-entry Introductory class, followed by Laura Post and TK Neat Little Cat.

Randall Walker and Danny placed first in Dressage and Ease of Handling and third in Speed to secure the overall first place in the three-entry Novice A class, followed closely by Kim Brunson and Muddy River Troubador, whose first place finish in Speed and second place finish in both Dressage and Ease of Handling meant they ended the day just one point behind the leaders.

In the process, Kim earned her first qualifying score toward her Bronze Lifetime Rider Medal, with a 62.27% in Dressage. Congratulations, Kim!
