Working Equitation Oklahoma’s Alicia Little organized another successful WE show June 22, 2018, with Texas Judge Doreen Atkinson officiating and 12 riders competing.
Jenifer Hustis rode Descent to a 1st-place finish in the one-entry Introductory Open class, with a 67.2% in Dressage and a 66.1% in Ease of Handling.
Abby Ocker rode Obi Wan Kenobi to a first-place win in the three-entry Introductory Amateur class, finishing 1st place in Dressage (62%) and 2nd in Ease of Handling (59.4%). Melissa Campbell and April Morning Mist came in 2nd overall, with a 3rd place finish in Dressage (54.8%) and a 1st place in Ease of Handling (60.50%).
Michele Marshall and King earned 57.74% in Dressage, 60.83% in Ease of Handling, and 3:23.5 in Speed to win 1st place overall in the one-entry Novice A Open class.
Alicia Little and A Princess Warhawk swept the two-entry Novice A Amateur class, with 63.48% in Dressage, 62.70% in Ease of Handling, and a Speed time of 3:06.1. Marlene Miller and Lord Tyrion Lannister earned 51.38% in Ease of Handling but scratched both Dressage and Speed to finish 2nd place overall.
Daniel Garcia and Imponente earned 58.79% in Dressage, 50.83% in Ease of Handling, and 2:32.1 in Speed to win the one-entry Novice B Open class, while Linda Frazier and Starlights Express earned 59.83% in Dressage and 69.4% in Ease of Handling and 2:54.3 in Speed to win the one-entry Novice B Amateur class.
Caroline Holloway and Jetalito Dash earned 60.5% in Dressage, 68.16% in Ease of Handling, and 2:57.1 in Speed to win 1st place overall in the one-entry Intermediate A Open class.
Tamera Mayo and Clair NAF earned 65.69% in Dressage, 64.74% in Ease of Handling and 3:21.0 in Speed to win 1st place overall in the two-entry Intermediate A Amateur class. Linda Frazier rode Rosies Chexy Lady to a 2nd place overall, with 61.6% in Dressage, 66.58% in Ease of Handling, and 3:23.6 in Speed.
A great day was made even more special by the surprise obstacles and course decorations gifted to Alicia by a variety of WE friends from across the country and debuted at this event.
