Show Report: WEKS Eagle View Equestrian Center, May 2019

Twenty horse/rider pairs came out to test their mettle at the Region 3 WEKS licensed working equitation competition officiated over by judge Doreen Atkinson, S, TX at Eagle View Equestrian Center in Wichita, KS.

Seth Marshall and Mateo’s Regal Son won top honors in the 6-entry Introductory level class, with Marty Stewart and Gunner coming in 2nd overall, right ahead of Cynthia Fox and Wild Haired Mate and Rachel Zenger and A Secret Code. Marlene Miller and Playboy’s Bit O’Honor came in 5th overall, while Patricia Peterson and Isabella IV came in 6th.

Ellen Breeding and Cisco won the 6-entry Novice A class, while Rachel Zenger and Fancy Lopin Jose came in 2nd, Linda Frazier and Starlight’s Red Cat finished 3rd. Marie Gifford and Nu Jazz came in 4th overall, with Patrice Thomsen and HK Kamelot in 5th and Seth Marshall and Ell Yes finishing 6th.

Jane O’Boyle and Docs Buz N Leo placed 1st overall in the 2-entry Novice B class, while Dan Keil and RCC Nottingham came in 2nd.

The Intermediate A class had 5 entries. Cyndi Harris and Cowboy Cooter took home top honors, while Tamera Mayo and Clair NAF came in 2nd, Kim McBroom and Oakley Twisten Lark came in 3rd, Linda Frazier and Starlight’s Express finished 4th, and Jane O’Boyle and Son Risa came in 5th.

Bill Walton earned another qualifying score toward his Lifetime Silver Rider medal, sweeping the one-entry Intermediate B class on Pepto’s San Vanna.
