The WE United Annual Leaderboard will showcase the top working equitation horses, riders, and horse/rider combinations competing in the United States in terms of overall points earned. Within each performance level–Introductory, Novice, Intermediate, Advanced, and Masters–the Leaderboard will list the top 10 horse/rider pairs, top 10 horses, top 10 American riders, and top 10 International riders.
At the end of the year, the leaders will receive recognition for their successes, and the leaderboard will serve as a historical record of Working Equitation standings from year to year.
For this competition season–December 1, 2015 to November 30, 2016–the overall points on the Annual Leaderboard reflect scores earned by WE United members at any B-rated, A-rated, or Championship WE competition sanctioned by WE United, WEIAUSA, USFWE, USEF, or WAWE. The overall scores earned at these competitions are reported to WE United, and the Annual Leaderboard is updated as scores become available at least once per month.
The first scores reflected on the 2016 Annual Leaderboard came from Highlander Ranch’s Winter Working Equitation show in Waco, Texas on February 20. Five WE United members earned eligible scores from Introductory through Advanced level. More horses and riders will be added to the Annual Leaderboard as the WE show season progresses and points become available.
